Rocki
Rockingham serves as Vice President of Community
Relations and Communications for Jarden
Consumer Solutions in Boca Raton, Florida.
Her specialties are corporate communications,
public relations and community affairs.
For more than a decade, she has been responsible
for the highest level of strategic communications
at several Fortune 500 companies. Rocki
is passionate about her work and is committed
to the communities in which she lives and
works.
Throughout her life, Rocki
has served on numerous boards, volunteered
and sponsored charitable events, mentored
youth, and consistently given her time to
try to make a difference. She has worked
extensively with community and civic groups
to help improve and manage community, diversity
and civic initiatives.
Rocki has partnered closely
with government, corporate and community
organizations to manage issues on local,
state and national levels. Rocki believes
that everyone can make a difference, that
even the smallest pebble selflessly thrown
into the pond can initiate untold positive
effects.
Rocki is the Board Chairperson
for The Cooperative Feeding Program, the
Board Vice Chair for the March of Dimes
in Palm Beach County, and a Board Member
of the American Red Cross – Broward
County Chapter. Some of her other community
and philanthropic affiliations include:
SOS Children’s Villages – Florida;
Gilda’s Club; American Cancer Society;
American Heart Association; Boca Raton Chamber
of Commerce; National Association of Black/Hispanic
Journalists; INROADS; Executive Leadership
Council; National Urban League; and the
National Council of Negro Women.
Rocki has a Master of Arts
degree in organizational communication from
Western Michigan University and a Bachelor
of Arts degree in public relations and journalism
from McKendree College. She and her husband,
Darrel, live in Plantation, Florida.
