board member for Junior
Achievement and is active in numerous
other civic organizations. Her understanding
of charities and the difficulty they have
raising much-needed funds for their organizations,
caused Debi to co-found Sweet Charity.
Sweet Charity was designed to provide
trouble-free money to various organizations
through the sales of high quality vitamins
and nutritional supplements that their
donor base probably takes anyway.
For three consecutive years, Working
Woman magazine recognized Fit America
as one of America’s top 500 women-owned
businesses. Debi was awarded Ernst &
Young'’ Entrepreneur of the Year
Award in 1999 for health and has been
featured on national TV and in media publications
including Success magazine, FSB (Fortune
Small Business) and Newsweek.
Debi has written three books that address
weight loss challenges; one for teens
entitled Back Off! I’ll Lose
Weight When I’m Ready; Weight

Than Atkins…The Country Club Diet.
In addition, she’s written, Why
Don’t You Love Me? I’m The

For A Better Life, will come out
in the Fall of 2006. Debi is also a regular
writer for several magazines and newspapers.
“Belief in oneself is essential
for success,” she says. “Sometimes,
when things look the grimmest is when
the strength and determination that lives
deep inside each and every one of us has
an opportunity to emerge. God gives us
many gifts. We simply need to have the
faith and belief in our ability to succeed.”
Debi is the proud mother of two children;
daughter Blake age 21 and son, Cole age
16. She and her family live in South Florida.
